ICPD25 CALL TO ACTION : Accelerating the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of women and girls with disabilities

5 December, 2019

This-Ability Trust in collaboration with Sexual and Reproductive Health Matters (SRHM), Making it Work, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Canadian High Commission conducted a one day consultative forum to deliberate the sexual and reproductive health rights of women and girls with disabilities, the status of universal health coverage and opportunities to advance their human rights during the Nairobi Summit ICPD25.

As a result of the deliberations, we produced a CALL TO ACTION that urges all stakeholders — governments, parliamentarians, justice and law enforcement actors, public health professionals in the public and private sectors, regional organizations, disabled peoples organizations, women’s rights organizations, SRHR actors and other civil society and social movements, international and regional development agencies, UN agencies, research and academic institutions, professionals, advocates, law and policy makers, law enforcement agencies and other international, regional, national and local actors — to adopt and implement the prescribed actions for the realization and acceleration of SRHR of women and girls with disabilities.
